तस्मै तृणं निदधावेतदादत्स्वेति ।तदुपप्रेयाय सर्वजवेन तन्न शशाकाऽऽदातुं स तत एव निववृते नैतदशकं विज्ञातुं यदेतद्यक्षमिति
tasmai tṛṇaṃ nidadhāvetadādatsveti | tadupapreyāya sarvajavena tanna śaśākā''dātuṃ sa tata eva nivavṛte naitadaśakaṃ vijñātuṃ yadetadyakṣamiti

अर्थMeaning
यक्ष ने उसके सामने एक तृण रखा — "इसे उठा ले जा।" वायु अपनी पूरी शक्ति से उस पर झपटा, परन्तु उसे हिला न सका। वह लौट आया — "मैं नहीं जान सका कि यह यक्ष क्या है।"
अक्षरशः अनुवाद — मूल संस्कृत श्लोक के प्रत्येक पद का प्रत्यक्ष अर्थ।
The yakṣa placed a blade of grass before him: "Take this away." He rushed at it with all his speed but could not move it. He returned: "I could not find out what this yakṣa is."
