sapta prāṇāḥ prabhavanti tasmātsaptārciṣaḥ samidhaḥ sapta homāḥ | sapta ime lokā yeṣu caranti prāṇā guhāśayā nihitāḥ sapta sapta
Seven repeats: prāṇas, flames, fuels, oblations, worlds. The number is symbolic — seven is the number of completeness (the seven sense-orifices in the head, the seven days, etc.). All sevens are held within the heart-cavity.
Meaning
From him spring the seven prāṇas, the seven flames, the seven fuels, the seven oblations, the seven worlds where the prāṇas move — placed seven by seven in the cave (of the heart).
Direct literal rendering preserving Sanskrit philosophical terminology.
Vyakhya
Science & Modern Application
शोध संदर्भResearch context · not scriptureComparative Research Noteशोध टिप्पणी
सात संख्या मानव अनुभूति में बार-बार आती है (Miller का 'magical number seven plus or minus two' अल्पकालिक स्मृति में)।
A modern parallel offered for reflection. It is not part of the scripture, and it has not been checked against the original sources it may allude to.
