nityo'nityānāṃ cetanaścetanānāmeko bahūnāṃ yo vidadhāti kāmān | tamātmasthaṃ ye'nupaśyanti dhīrāsteṣāṃ śāntiḥ śāśvatī netareṣām
A famous formulation. The Eternal among the impermanent, the Conscious among the conscious — three superlative relations. Recognition produces peace.
Meaning
The Eternal among the non-eternal; the Conscious among the conscious — the One who fulfills the desires of the many. The wise who see him in the Self have eternal peace; not the others.
Direct literal rendering preserving Sanskrit philosophical terminology.
Vyakhya
Science & Modern Application
शोध संदर्भResearch context · not scriptureComparative Research Noteशोध टिप्पणी
A modern parallel offered for reflection. It is not part of the scripture, and it has not been checked against the original sources it may allude to.
