kurvanneveha karmāṇi jijīviṣecchataṃ samāḥ | evaṃ tvayi nānyatheto'sti na karma lipyate nare
Perform your duties faithfully and wish to live a full hundred years; action done without selfish clinging leaves no karmic stain.A radical correction to world-renouncing tendencies: the Upanishad explicitly endorses a hundred-year life of action. The secret is not to flee karma but to act without ego-attachment. Action then becomes non-binding.
Meaning
Performing actions here, one should desire to live a hundred years. There is no other way — action does not bind a man who lives thus.
Direct literal rendering preserving Sanskrit philosophical terminology.
Vyakhya

A modern parallel offered for reflection. It is not part of the scripture, and it has not been checked against the original sources it may allude to.
