यदेवेह तदमुत्र यदमुत्र तदन्विह ।मृत्योः स मृत्युमाप्नोति य इह नानेव पश्यति
yadeveha tadamutra yadamutra tadanviha | mṛtyoḥ sa mṛtyumāpnoti ya iha nāneva paśyati
A pillar verse. There is no 'here' and 'there'; one Self is both. To see many is to walk the wheel of death repeatedly. Non-dual seeing is the exit.
अर्थMeaning
जो यहाँ है, वही वहाँ है; जो वहाँ है, वही यहाँ है। जो यहाँ बहुलता देखता है, वह मृत्यु से मृत्यु को प्राप्त करता है।
अक्षरशः अनुवाद — मूल संस्कृत श्लोक के प्रत्येक पद का प्रत्यक्ष अर्थ।
What is here is there; what is there is here. He who sees many here goes from death to death.

अद्वैत का महा-सिद्धांत: जो यहाँ (इस पिण्ड/शरीर में) है, वही वहाँ (उस ब्रह्मांड/परब्रह्म में) है; और जो वहाँ है, वही यहाँ है। जो मनुष्य यहाँ नानात्व (भेद, पृथकता) देखता है — वह मृत्यु से मृत्यु को (बार-बार जन्म और मरण के घोर अंधकार को) प्राप्त होता है!
