दो अरणियों में निहित जातवेद (अग्नि) — जैसे गर्भिणी के द्वारा गर्भ — दिन-दिन जागरूक, हविष्-धारी पुरुषों द्वारा पूज्य अग्नि — यही वह है।
अक्षरशः अनुवाद — मूल संस्कृत श्लोक के प्रत्येक पद का प्रत्यक्ष अर्थ।
Jātaveda (fire), set in two fire-sticks, well-nourished as an embryo by mothers — day by day to be praised by the watchful, offering-bearing men. This indeed is That.
