yathodakaṃ durge vṛṣṭaṃ parvateṣu vidhāvati | evaṃ dharmān pṛthak paśyaṃstānevānuvidhāvati
An image of dispersion. Rain on a rugged mountain runs in many directions. Similarly, perception of separateness scatters one's attention and energy.
Meaning
As rain fallen on a rugged mountain runs down its sides — even so, one who sees the dharmas (qualities) as separate runs after them.
Direct literal rendering preserving Sanskrit philosophical terminology.
Vyakhya
Science & Modern Application
शोध संदर्भResearch context · not scriptureComparative Research Noteशोध टिप्पणी
A modern parallel offered for reflection. It is not part of the scripture, and it has not been checked against the original sources it may allude to.
