upaniṣadaṃ bho brūhītyuktā ta upaniṣadbrāhmīṃ vāva ta upaniṣadamabrūmeti
A meta-moment. The student asks for the teaching — and is told it has already been given. The narrative itself is the teaching. The Upanishad is not a doctrine to be added on after the story; the story is the doctrine.
Meaning
(Student:) "Sir, teach me the Upanishad." (Teacher:) "The Upanishad of Brahman has been told to you."
Direct literal rendering preserving Sanskrit philosophical terminology.
Vyakhya
Science & Modern Application
शोध संदर्भResearch context · not scriptureComparative Research Noteशोध टिप्पणी
A modern parallel offered for reflection. It is not part of the scripture, and it has not been checked against the original sources it may allude to.
