yadā carmavadākāśaṃ veṣṭayiṣyanti mānavāḥ | tadā devamavijñāya duḥkhasyānto bhaviṣyati
A verse of supreme irony: rolling up the sky like leather is impossible — and that is exactly the point. There is NO shortcut, no technological solution, no social reform sufficient to end human suffering without knowledge of the divine Self. Outer achievement — however magnificent — cannot substitute for inner realization.
Meaning
When humans roll up the sky like a piece of leather, then — without knowing God — suffering will come to an end.
Direct literal rendering preserving Sanskrit philosophical terminology.
Vyakhya
Science & Modern Application
शोध संदर्भResearch context · not scriptureComparative Research Noteशोध टिप्पणी
A modern parallel offered for reflection. It is not part of the scripture, and it has not been checked against the original sources it may allude to.
