yathorṇanābhiḥ sṛjate gṛhṇate ca yathā pṛthivyāmoṣadhayaḥ sambhavanti | yathā sataḥ puruṣātkeśalomāni tathā'kṣarātsambhavatīha viśvam
Three analogies for cosmic emergence. Each shows that the world is not 'made' from outside but arises from within the substrate — like a web from the spider's own body, plants from earth, hair from a person. Creator and creation share substance.
Meaning
As a spider extends and withdraws its web, as plants spring forth from the earth, as hair grows from a living person — so from the Imperishable arises this world.
Direct literal rendering preserving Sanskrit philosophical terminology.
Vyakhya

A modern parallel offered for reflection. It is not part of the scripture, and it has not been checked against the original sources it may allude to.
