naiva vācā na manasā prāptuṃ śakyo na cakṣuṣā | astīti bruvato'nyatra kathaṃ tadupalabhyate
A profound verse. The Self cannot be acquired through any faculty. But the conviction 'asti' — 'He is' — is itself the doorway. Faith in existence precedes knowledge of essence.
Meaning
He cannot be reached by speech, mind, or eye. How can he be known otherwise than by one who says, 'He is'?
Direct literal rendering preserving Sanskrit philosophical terminology.
Vyakhya
Science & Modern Application
शोध संदर्भResearch context · not scriptureComparative Research Noteशोध टिप्पणी
A modern parallel offered for reflection. It is not part of the scripture, and it has not been checked against the original sources it may allude to.
