satyameva jayate nānṛtaṃ satyena panthā vitato devayānaḥ | yenākramantyṛṣayo hyāptakāmā yatra tat satyasya paramaṃ nidhānam
India's national motto. Not naive optimism. A cosmic principle: reality is aligned with truth. Lies require energy to maintain and are self-defeating. Truth, even difficult, aligns with the structure of being.
Meaning
Truth alone triumphs, not falsehood. By truth is spread the divine path along which the sages — whose desires are fulfilled — travel to where the supreme treasury of truth resides.
Direct literal rendering preserving Sanskrit philosophical terminology.
Vyakhya
Science & Modern Application
शोध संदर्भResearch context · not scriptureComparative Research Noteशोध टिप्पणी
A modern parallel offered for reflection. It is not part of the scripture, and it has not been checked against the original sources it may allude to.
