eṣa sarveṣu bhūteṣu gūḍho''tmā na prakāśate | dṛśyate tvagryayā buddhyā sūkṣmayā sūkṣmadarśibhiḥ
The Self is universal but hidden. Vision requires a sharpened buddhi — agryā, sūkṣmā. The same faculty that ordinarily looks outward must be redirected inward.
Meaning
This Self is hidden in all beings — it does not shine forth. But it is seen by the keen, subtle intellect of those who see the subtle.
Direct literal rendering preserving Sanskrit philosophical terminology.
Vyakhya
Science & Modern Application
शोध संदर्भResearch context · not scriptureComparative Research Noteशोध टिप्पणी
A modern parallel offered for reflection. It is not part of the scripture, and it has not been checked against the original sources it may allude to.
