The Self simultaneously pervades all (greater than the greatest) yet is present in every point (smaller than the smallest). It is in the heart-cave of every creature. Vision requires absence of desire and sorrow plus grace.
Meaning
Smaller than the smallest, greater than the greatest — the Self is set in the heart of every creature. The desireless one, free of sorrow, by the grace of the Maker, sees the majesty of the Self.
Direct literal rendering preserving Sanskrit philosophical terminology.
Vyakhya

A modern parallel offered for reflection. It is not part of the scripture, and it has not been checked against the original sources it may allude to.
