एतदालम्बनं श्रेष्ठमेतदालम्बनं परम् ।एतदालम्बनं ज्ञात्वा ब्रह्मलोके महीयते
etadālambanaṃ śreṣṭhametadālambanaṃ param | etadālambanaṃ jñātvā brahmaloke mahīyate
OM is named ālambana — the support. When the mind has nothing else to hold onto, it can hold onto OM. From that support it cannot fall.
अर्थMeaning
यही आलम्बन (आश्रय) श्रेष्ठ है; यही परम। इसी आलम्बन को जानकर मनुष्य ब्रह्म-लोक में महिमा को प्राप्त होता है।

This support is the highest; this support is the supreme. Knowing this support, one is exalted in the world of Brahman.
